Mr. Zhang Tianren, Chairman of the Board of Tianneng Group, was among the outstanding Chinese honored at the "11th World Outstanding Chinese Award and 1st World Outstanding Chinese Artist Awards" jointly organized by the World Chinese Business Fund, the Worldwide United Chinese Association and United World Chinese Association. He was also presented an Honorary Doctorate Degree by United States International University, California. The presentation ceremony was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 21 March 2009.

The "World Outstanding Chinese Award" is a prominent award organized by the United World Chinese Association to honor Chinese elites around the world for their excellent performance in various industries and contribution to charitable causes. Over the years, the Award has inspired many Chinese and gained influence in Chinese communities around the world.

Winners of the 18 awards also included Mr. Wang Jin-Pyng, who is head of the Legislature of Taiwan.
